en la regla 53.12
Se
modificó la regla que prohibía
el uso de los compases electrónicos,
permitiendo el uso de compases electrónicos
con dispositivo para largadas(Tiempo)
The
SCIRA Board has approved to modify
Section 52.13 of the Restrictions
and Measurement of the SCIRA Rulebook
to read:
"Electronic devices that allow
bearing and timer only are allowed."
The Rules Committee proposed to allow
the use of the simpler model electronic
compass (bearing and timer only) available
on the current market onboard Snipes.
The reasons in favor are:
-works in both hemispheres
-many sailors, sailing more classes,
already own an electronic compass
-the same instrument works also as
timer
